Best HF Bands For DX

Each HF band behaves differently depending on time of day, solar activity and distance.
20m is one of the best all-around DX bands. 15m and 10m can be excellent when solar conditions are strong. 40m is strong at night and useful for regional and DX contacts. 80m is mostly a nighttime band.
A good operating habit is to check solar conditions, listen first, and then choose the band that matches the path you want to work.
