What Is An EFHW Antenna?

An End Fed Half Wave, or EFHW, is a popular wire antenna for portable and home stations.

It is easy to deploy, works well for POTA, and can cover multiple bands depending on length and transformer design.

Many operators use a 49:1 transformer with an EFHW wire. It is a strong option when you want simple setup and good HF performance.
