How To Call CQ Properly

Calling CQ is how an amateur radio operator announces they are looking for a contact.

A simple format is:

CQ CQ CQ, this is NP4H, November Papa Four Hotel, calling CQ and standing by.

Before calling, listen first. Make sure the frequency is clear. Speak clearly, use phonetics, and avoid calling too long without listening.
